Current CHC grants include:

• 2011-12 Emergency Preparedness Grant from the New York State Department of Health (DOH) designed to provide information to providers on emergency preparedness planning, how providers can collaborate with the State Emergency Management Office and DOH to receive in planning and response and how to do local outreach to local Offices of Emergency Management (OEM) on the purpose and mission of home care.  A paraprofessional brochure was developed in five languages, English, Spanish, Russian, Chinese and Creole, that gives these home care workers essential information about how to handle a variety of emergency situations.
