The Aide's Role in Nutrition and Hydration
Nutrition and hydration are necessary to sustain life. The provision of food and water is frequently related to the providing of comfort and nourishment as well as to the giving of life and preserving of life. Adequate nutrition has many advantages to the human body. This presentation will explore some of those, such as: healing, prevention and good health. We will also discuss the element of safety related to nutrition and hydration with a focus on the patient with advanced illness and those at end of life. Presented by: Sandy Decker, RN, BSN
