THOMAS CONLON JOINS THE NYS ASSOCIATION OF HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS AS ASSOCIATE FOR PUBLIC POLICY


ALBANY, NY – Thomas “Tom” Conlon has joined the New York State Association of Health Care Providers (HCP) as Associate for Public Policy. Conlon will support HCP’s State regulatory initiatives and corresponding grassroots advocacy campaigns on behalf of the New York State home care industry.

Prior to joining HCP, Conlon interned with Assembly Member Steve Stern. Conlon assisted with the Assemblyman’s transition into office following the Assembly Member’s Special Election victory. Conlon also was responsible for scheduling appointments in the Albany office, day-to-day operations, and preparing legislative materials.

Conlon also interned with then-Assembly Member Shelley Mayer, where he handled the responsibilities of the Albany office during Mayer’s Special Election campaign for State Senate. He also analyzed legislation and also met with various interest groups and constituents. 

In 2018, Conlon was the recipient of the New York State Assembly’s Research Paper Award of which Conlon wrote about the impact of the State State’s living wage.
