Flash Flooding Potential
The New York State Department of Health is urging home care providers to prepare for the potential impacts of heavy rainfall and flash flooding expected through July 7. Flood watches are in effect for Long Island, the Mid-Hudson Region, New York City, and the Southern Tier, with 2–4 inches of rain expected in many areas and localized totals of up to 5 inches. Power outages, road closures, and travel disruptions are possible.
